Professor Afsharipour Presents at University of Minnesota Law School

Professor Afra Afsharipour recently presented a work-in-progress entitled "The Indian Private Equity Model" at a faculty workshop at the University of Minnesota Law School. The piece explores the structure of private equity investments into Indian firms, arguing that, in India, private equity  firms acquire minority interests in controlled companies using a structure that is both hybridized from Western investment models and customized for India‘s complex legal environment.

Professor Afsharipour's areas of research include comparative corporate law and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and transactional law.  Her scholarship has appeared in numerous law reviews, including the Columbia Law Review, the Minnesota Law Review, the Vanderbilt Law Review, and the UC Davis Law Review.
