Professor Afsharipour Serves as Expert Panelist for 'MOOC' Course on Acquisition Agreements

Professor Afra Afsharipour is serving as an expert panelist in a massive open online course, or "MOOC," on the Basics of Acquisition Agreements presented by LawMeets, in conjunction with the American Law Institute Continuing Legal Education program.

MOOC classes have become an important trend in higher education, both as a cost-saving measure and as a means to provide access to information and training to individuals who may not be able to attend classes on campus.  The Basics of Acquisition Agreements course is seen as a resource for law students, recent law graduates and entrepreneurs.

Professor Afsharipour's areas of research include comparative corporate law and governance, mergers and acquisitions, and transactional law.  Her scholarship has appeared in numerous law reviews, including the Columbia Law Review, the Minnesota Law Review, the Vanderbilt Law Review, and the UC Davis Law Review
