Professor Bennoune Delivers Katherine B. Fite Lecture at International Humanitarian Law Dialogs

Professor Karima Bennoune delivered the Katherine B. Fite Lecture at the Seventh Annual International Humanitarian Law Dialogs held in Jamestown, New York on August 25-27. She presented her new book, Your Fatwa Does Not Apply Here: Untold Stories from the Fight against Muslim Fundamentalism (W.W. Norton & Company) before an audience including the prosecutors of most international criminal courts, including Fatou Bensouda, Chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court.

Karima Bennoune is an author, lecturer, teacher, and international law scholar as well as the first Arab-American to be honored with the Derrick A. Bell Award from the Section on Minority Groups of the Association of American Law Schools. She joined the King Hall faculty from Rutgers School of Law-Newark in 2012.
