Dean Johnson, Professor Villazor, Professor Hing Speak at AALS Workshop on Poverty, Immigration, and Property

Dean Kevin R. Johnson, Professor Rose Cuison Villazor, and Professor Emeritus Bill Hing participated in the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) Workshop on Poverty, Immigration, and Property in San Diego on June 10-12.

Dean Johnson presented his paper "Gideon v. Wainwright and the Right to Counsel in Immigration Removal Cases." Professor Villazor was a panelist in a plenary session discussion of "What Lies at the Intersection of Poverty, Property, and Immigration?" Professor Hing moderated a discussion of papers presented by Janet M. Calvo of City University of New York School of Law, Kevin Lapp of New York University School of Law, and Huyen T. Pham of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law.
