Lawyers of Color Cites Research by Dean Johnson

An article in Lawyers of Color magazine on "Why Faculty Diversity Is Important" draws extensively on research by Dean Kevin R. Johnson. The article cites Dean Johnson's paper "The Future of Legal Education," published in the Iowa Law Review, in noting that law students consistently lobby for greater faculty diversity and arguing that a diversity of ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds among faculty contributes to a diversity of perspectives on legal issues.

Kevin R. Johnson is Dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
