Professor Reynoso Receives American Association of Community Colleges Outstanding Alumni Award

Professor Cruz Reynoso has been named as a recipient of the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) 2013 Outstanding Alumni Award.  Professor Reynoso attended Fullerton Junior College before earning his Bachelor of Arts at Pomona College and his law degree from the UC Berkeley School of Law.  He received the award at 2013 AACC Annual Convention held in San Francisco on April 20-23.

A member of the UC Davis School of Law faculty since 2001, Professor Reynoso is an internationally known civil rights leader, the first Latino to sit on the California Supreme Court, and a recipient of the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the nation's highest civilian honor.  He has been awarded the UC Davis Medal, the university's highest honor, and the Law School has established the Cruz & Jeannene Reynoso Scholarship for Legal Access to help students with financial needs.
