Professor Larson Cited in Fifth Circuit Gun Control Decision

Professor Carlton Larson was cited by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit in an opinion upholding a federal law that prohibits people under the age of 21 from purchasing handguns from dealers.  The opinion in National Rifle Association v. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives cites Professor Larson's "Four Exceptions in Search of a Theory: District of Columbia v. Heller and Judicial Ipse Dixit," published in Hastings Law Journal.

Carlton Larson's research interests focus on constitutional law and legal history, with a strong emphasis on the 18th century.
