King Hall Students Compete in Southwestern Entertainment Law Negotiations Competition

On October 6-7, the King Hall Negotiations Team competed in the Southwestern Entertainment Law Negotiations Competition (SELNC). This year's topics ranged from a negotiation for the extension of a beloved TV host's contract to the renegotiation of an existing contract's terms.  The team of Leah White '13 and Joel Gerson '14 advanced to the final round and ultimately finished third.

The King Hall Negotiations Team would like to thank the King Hall students who helped moot these teams in preparation for this competition and Southwestern Law School for its hospitality. The team would also like to thank coaches Jesse Suarez '12, Saba Shatara '13, and Kyle Junginger '14, whose assistance in preparing the competitors ensured their success. Finally, the team would also like to thank Professor Donna Shestowsky for her faculty guidance and the UC Davis School of Law Deans for their constant support.
