UC Davis Law Review Honors Keith Aoki Online
The UC Davis Law Review has dedicated its most recent issue and a portion of its website to remembering King Hall's late Professor Keith Aoki. Two multimedia presentations include photographs of Aoki, quotes from his scholarship, examples of his artwork, and a link to the Aoki Education Trust established to help fund the education of Aoki's daughters, Rachel and Sarah. The site also features the UC Davis Law Review issue "Super Aoki - A Tribute to Keith Aoki," containing memorials and scholarship dedicated to the esteemed professor. Contributors include legal scholars from across the United States as well as King Hall Professors Anupam Chander, Madhavi Sunder, Rose Cuison Villazor, Thomas Joo, Lisa Ikemoto, and Angela Harris.
Professor Keith Aoki died at the age of 55 on April 26, 2011, following a prolonged illness. A brilliant scholar, devoted teacher and beloved colleague, Professor Aoki had a lasting, positive impact on generations of King Hall faculty and students. He was an accomplished and respected scholar in civil rights, critical race theory, intellectual property, and local government law, and a member of the prestigious American Law Institute.
