Professor Frank Comments on Supreme Court Environmental Decisions

Professor of Environmental Practice Richard Frank commented for Greenwire on a set of environmental law cases decided by the U.S. Supreme Court during its recently concluded term. The rulings seemed to Frank to illustrate a trend in which environmental groups tend to lose to the government and the government often loses to business interests.

"I'm beginning to view the environmental law outcomes in the Supreme Court as analogous to the old schoolyard paper, scissors, rock game," Frank said.

Frank, a 1974 graduate of King Hall, is a leader in the field of environmental law and the founding Director of the California Environmental Law and Policy Center at UC Davis School of Law.
