California Senate Confirms Professor Bhagwat for ISO Board

The California Senate voted unanimously to confirm Professor Ashutosh Bhagwat's appointment to the governing board of the California Independent System Operator. Professor Bhagwat was appointed to the board by Governor Jerry Brown in May 2011.  The ISO is a non-profit public benefit corporation charged with operating the majority of California's high-voltage wholesale power grid. 

Professor Bhagwat, who joined King Hall from UC Hastings during the summer of 2011, is an innovative, broad-ranging, and widely published scholar in fields including constitutional, administrative, and regulatory law.
