Dean Johnson to Speak on ‘Immigration Law and the U.S.-Mexico Border' at CSUS

Dean Kevin R. Johnson will present ideas from his book Immigration Law and the U.S.-Mexico Border: Si se puede? in a lecture at the California State University, Sacramento main library on March 29.  The book, co-authored with Valparaiso University School of Law Professor Bernard Trujillo, explores the history of discrimination against Mexican Americans, recent crackdowns on undocumented immigrants, and other issues central to the national debate over immigration. The lecture will begin at noon and is open to the public.

Kevin R. Johnson is Dean and Mabie-Apallas Professor of Public Interest Law and Chicana/o studies at UC Davis School of Law. He is an internationally recognized scholar in the fields of immigration law and policy, refugee law, and civil rights.
