Marlon Cobar '00 Receives Department of Justice Exceptional Service Award

Marlon Cobar '00, a trial attorney with the Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs Section with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C., will be honored with the Department of Justice Award for Exceptional Service at the DOJ Criminal Division's Award Ceremony on December 12.   The award honors Cobar's extraordinary efforts in establishing a groundbreaking program addressing the security threat posed by major Mexican drug cartels.  In addition, Cobar recently was selected to represent the Department of Justice in a diplomatic post at the U.S. Embassy in Bogota, Columbia, where he will focus on a counter-narcotics/organized crime project.
