Professor Aoki Honored with SALT Great Teacher Award

The Board of Governors of the Society of American Law Teachers (SALT) has announced that it will honor the late Professor Keith Aoki with its 2012 SALT Great Teacher Award at the Saturday, January 7, 2012 SALT Annual Dinner held in conjunction with the AALS annual meeting in Washington, D.C.

Professor Aoki died April 26 following a prolonged illness.  A beloved teacher and colleague and a leading scholar in the areas of intellectual property, globalization, critical race theory, and local government law, his passing inspired several tributes, including articles in The Chronicle of Higher Education and The Public Domain, as well as numerous blogs and online postings from friends, colleagues, and admirers. A memorial event, "Remembering Keith Aoki," is planned for May 26 at King Hall.
