King Hall Students Volunteer for Sacramento Crisis Nursery

More than two dozen members of the UC Davis School of Law Class of 2013 volunteered to work at the Sacramento Children's Home's North Crisis Nursery laying 30 yards of bark around the property, painting the facilities, and cleaning the children's play equipment.

The service project is part of an initiative raised this year by the Law Student Association to greater embody Dr. Martin Luther King's legacy of hands-on work in the community by coordinating community-service projects each semester for each class for all three years of enrollment.  Earlier this semester, the Class of 2012 volunteered for the City of Sacramento, working with SABA (Sacramento Area Bicycle Advocates) volunteers on March 5 to restore bike trails in midtown Sacramento, and members of the Class of 2011 volunteered to work for Habitat for Humanity building a duplex in Woodland on February 26.
