Dr. Ami Bera to Speak During MESALSA Culture Week

Dr. Ami Bera, Associate Dean for Admissions at UC Davis School of Medicine and the Democratic candidate for U.S. Congress in California's Third District, will speak in King Hall on Monday, October 18 as part of the Middle Eastern South Asian Law Students Association (MESALSA) Culture Week 2010.  The event will begin at noon in the Kalmanovitz Appellate Courtroom in the new wing of King Hall.  

On Tuesday at noon in the Kalmanovitz Appellate Courtroom, MESALSA will be showcasing CROP, a free legal clinic that MESALSA runs along with the Asian Caucus 

On Wednesday at noon in the Wilkins Moot Courtroom, MESALSA will host a panel of Middle Eastern and South Asian Lawyers from around the Sacramento area. 

On Thursday at noon in the Kalmanovitz Appellate Courtroom, Professor Nozima Kamalova will be speaking.  She is a human rights lawyer who is a founding chair of the Legal Aid Society of Uzbekistan.

Lunch will be served at every event.  RSVPs are not necessary for these events.  The greater UC Davis community is invited!
