Make the Connection: Volunteer Opportunities for Alumni and Friends!
Throughout the year, student organizations, competitive teams, and others at UC Davis School of Law offer opportunities for Law School alumni and friends to come to King Hall and share their expertise and experience with students. Starting this month, the Alumni Relations office will feature these volunteer opportunities in the E-Briefs newsletter to make it easier for you to reconnect with the King Hall community!
As a service to our alumni, we will provide information on volunteer opportunities as well as contact information for the King Hall groups involved. The student groups will follow up with potential volunteers. The Law School hopes to be able to accommodate all volunteers, but may not always be able to use everyone for a given event. Please check back every month to see what new opportunities are arising.
If you are interested in volunteering for a program or group that you do not see listed at this time, please contact Ginger Welsh, Associate Director of Alumni Relations, and she will work to pass this information on to the groups as applicable. Intra-School Negotiations Competition

King Hall, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
On Sunday, September 19, 2010, UC Davis School of Law will be hosting its fourth annual Intra-school Negotiations Competition. Each year, the interested members of the student body pair-up and go head-to-head in mock settlement negotiations. Thirty teams are expected to participate this year, with the two teams deemed to have the most effective negotiations strategies earning the right to represent King Hall in the regional ABA competitions. Wine & Cheese Networking Reception with the King Hall Intellectual Property Association

On behalf of the King Hall Intellectual Property Association, we are pleased to offer an invitation to a reception being planned in October.
Please come and enjoy refreshments and hors d'oeuvres with students, professors, and professionals interested in IP. This reception represents a great networking opportunity and fun social event for students, professors, alumni, and practitioners to come together over shared interests while enjoying wine and hors d'oeuvres in UC-Davis' brand new and lovely courtyard.
