Monika Kalra Varma '00 Interviewed on PBS Newshour

Monika Kalra Varma '00, director of the Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Center for Human Rights (RFK Center), commented on the potential impact of the nearly $10 billion in aid contributed in support of earthquake victims in Haiti for the news program PBS Newshour.  Varma, who spoke on her work with the RFK Center at King Hall in October 2008, urged the donor countries to ensure that Haitian people have a voice in how the aid is distributed and how their country is rebuilt, and discussed the role the RFK Center is playing in protecting their rights.
