Professor Lin Comments on Nanotechnology for Star-Tribune

Professor Albert Lin commented for an article in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Star-Tribune on the legal liabilities nanotechnology companies may face if their products turn out to have health, safety, or environmental risks.

"We don't know exactly what the risks are," Professor Lin said. "If there is a risk, can we trace it back to the parties that are liable? We are at the beginning stages."  Nevertheless, he added, "companies are beginning to think about it. They are worried about their reputation and legal liability. One bad incident could set back the field."

Albert Lin is a professor at the UC Davis School of Law with special interests in environmental law, natural resources law, and evidence.
