Bodenheimer Lecture to Feature California Supreme Court Justice Carlos Moreno
UC Davis School of Law welcomes California Supreme Court Justice Carlos R. Moreno to deliver the 27th Brigitte M. Bodenheimer Lecture on Family Law. Established in 1981 in memory of Professor Brigitte M. Bodenheimer, this endowed lecture brings scholars and practitioners to UC Davis School of Law to discuss recent developments affecting the family.
Justice Carlos R. Moreno was sworn in as an associate justice of the Supreme Court of California on October 18, 2001, following his nomination by Governor Gray Davis. Justice Moreno has served as President of the Mexican American Bar Association and is the current Chair of the California Blue Ribbon Commission on Children in Foster Care. In March, Justice Moreno visited King Hall to deliver the keynote speech for the La Raza Law Students Association's César Chávez Week celebration.
The Bodenheimer lecture featuring Justice Moreno is scheduled for February 11, 2010 at UC Davis School of Law. Details are being finalized.
