Professor Chacón earned her J.D. from Yale Law School and served as a clerk to the Honorable Sidney R. Thomas, U.S. Court of Appeals Ninth Circuit, before joining Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York City from 1999-2003.  She has been a King Hall faculty member since 2004, teaching Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Immigration Law and writing extensively on these subjects in books and academic journals.
