Research
The Library's collection is fully cataloged online and is housed on 6 levels and one basement area. The catalog, MORT , may be accessed at stations in the Library or by personal computers via the Library's home page . A search result in MORT will provide you with call numbers which are used to locate books and other publications in the Library. Consult the Call Number Index to determine exactly where library materials are located on each floor/level.
Other Online Catalogs
To search for books found at the UC Davis main campus library, Shields, search HARVEST. To search for books found at other California libraries, including all U.C. campuses, use MELVYL .
To search for books and other collections beyond California and the U.C. system, search the nationwide cataloging network called WORLDCAT. To access WORLDCAT and SHARELAW from off-campus, it is necessary to establish remote access.
