Cowell Student Health Center provides confidential medical care and health education services to facilitate your academic studies. Supported in part by your registration fees, these services include physician appointments, clinical laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, physical therapy and women's clinic.
To schedule an appointment, call (530) 752-2349. The center's Web site is at http://healthcenter.ucdavis.edu . Every entering student is encouraged to meet medical entrance recommendations consisting of a completed medical history form and documentation of immunity to rubella, rubeola, hepatitis Band tetanus. International students are also recommended to have a tuberculin skin test in addition to the basic medical entrance requirements.
All professional school students are required to purchase the Graduate Student Health Insurance at the time registration fees are paid. Waivers will be granted each academic year to those students who provide proof of comparable insurance coverage. The Student Health Center administers the Graduate Student Health Insurance Program and grants waivers. For further information about insurance coverage, waivers and the optional plan, call or visit the Patient Accounts Office of the Student Health Center, (530) 752-6055. Office hours are 8-5 Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays; 9-5 Wednesdays.
