You must be currently enrolled and in good standing in your final year of law school at, or graduating in 2013 from: Lincoln Law School, Sacramento, Lorenzo Patino School of Law, McGeorge School of Law, or King Hall School of Law. Applicants will be evaluated holistically with emphasis on the following merit criteria:
Intent to serve the greater Sacramento Latino/Hispanic-American community;
Active student participation in Latino/Hispanic-American community service projects or groups;
Academic achievement in law school; and
Active student participation and intent to serve the greater Sacramento area can be shown by attendance at La Raza events, membership in law school affiliate groups and/or volunteering in community service projects.
The Scholarship Committee will evaluate each scholarship applicant and will select the scholarship recipients in its sole discretion, bound only by the scholarship purposes and scholarship criteria. To facilitate the decision-making process, the Scholarship Committee may, in its discretion, require a personal interview with any or all scholarship applicants.

- A personal statement, double-spaced, 12-point font, not to exceed 3000 words. Your name, address, email address, and telephone number must be included but are not counted toward the word count. The scholarship Committee is interested in indicia of resilience, leadership potential, and committment to serving the Sacramento Latino/Hispanic community. You may include information regarding your background, reasons for pursuing further education, challenges you face outside of school, legal field of interest, career goals, any special circumstances, your financial need, and any other information you would like considered by the scholarship selection committee.
