San Francisco Alumni Lunch and Weekend Board Meeting

We had a nice alumni lunch in San Francisco last Thursday at the restaurant Tres, just blocks from AT&T Park. The event was sold out and we will need to have a bigger venue next time so there's enough room for all the great King Hall alums! There was a great group of alums there, from the 1970s all the way through the Class of 2012. Alumni board member Gene Woo was there. Lara Gilman Over the weekend, we had an excellent King Hall Alumni Board meeting. President-Elect Gage Dungy , an old civ pro student of mine, and a Wealth management partner at Farella Braun + Martel was among those in attendance. Former Law Review Editor-in-Chief and Dr. Ives basketball tourney veteran Drew Amoroso of Reed Smith was there as well. Assistant Deans Jean Korinke and Craig Compton were there, along with Associate Director of Development and Alumni Relations Christian Rockwood. Craig received a lot of great job leads for our students from the alumni. I was able to fill the alums in on all the great things happening at King Hall! presided over the meeting. I was able to report on events on King Hall, including the (near) completion of the building renovation, the great faculty hires, the new California Supreme Court Clinic, and much more. Professor Rose Villazor stopped by for lunch and I introduced her to the board. LSA President Nima Rahimi provided student news. Jean Korinke relayed the continuing development successes. Christian Rockwood relayed alumni news. And Faye Veirs made the event work logistically. We toured the new-and-improved King Hall and the board was duly impressed!
