We're already planning another fabulous Alumni Reunion at King Hall! Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 26, 2009, when we will celebrate reunions of the classes of 1969, 1974, 1979, 1984, 1989, 1994, 1999, and 2004. An important part of celebrating a reunion is joining your classmates in support of UC Davis School of Law.

Support from alumni and friends is more critical today than ever. As state funds become less certain, private gifts have become essential to the future of the King Hall community. Thanks to private giving, the Law School has increased available scholarships and launched new scholarship programs to attract and retain the best and brightest students from a diversity of backgrounds and experiences. Private gifts also enable the Law School to sponsor ambitious symposia that examine some of society's most complex legal challenges, and to support student organizations, travel, and new and improved student journals.

As much as your Reunion is about coming back to celebrate your years at King Hall, it is also about giving back. All those celebrating Reunions this year are being asked to participate in something great by making a special increased gift or pledge to the School of Law in honor of their Reunion.

UC Davis School of Law needs help in two key areas:

King Hall Expansion and Renovation

King Hall has remained virtually the same facility as it was when you were in School - and it's literally "bursting at the seams". The Expansion and Renovation Project will update the building by providing the School of Law with the twenty-first century facility that its excellence truly warrants.

Alumni gifts to the King Hall expansion and renovation efforts could help us earn up to $500,000 more from the William and Inez Mabie Family Foundation thanks to a challenge they levied to increase alumni support. Any gift to this effort will bring us closer to our goals. Go to our secure giving website to make a gift on-line to "Capital Improvements - Expansion and Renovation".

To help support this once-in-a-generation effort, we have launched the Forever King Hall program. This program gives alumni the opportunity to leave a lasting impression by inscribing your name, or those you wish to honor on a paver, bench, classroom or courtroom seat. King Hall Annual Fund

A gift to the King Hall Annual Fund is another great way to support your alma mater. The Annual Fund is an important source of daily support for our students, faculty, and programs. Gifts to the Annual Fund have supported students in a variety of important ways including expanding merit-based scholarships and supporting student journals and symposia. Gifts to the Annual Fund can be made through our secure giving website.

Whether or not you attend your class reunion, we hope the celebration of this important milestone rekindles fond memories of your time at King Hall and an appreciation of the benefits your UC Davis legal education has provided. Please join your classmates in giving back and help future generations of students enjoy the benefits you received at King Hall by contributing to your Reunion Class Gift.
